I have the two 1968 45s he recorded for Floyd Swallow in Ville Plat that were released on the Bon Temps label.
Plus 2 45s from 1970 and a further 2 of 1974 all on the Blues Unlimited label, recorded in Crowley. During the 80s the entire 1970-74 sessions were released on Flyright LPs/CDs. Nothing more until Sam C turned up to record him in 1976.

Bit confused here. Are Rockin' Dopsy, Rockin' Doopsie, Rockin' Dupsie different artists? Or just spelling variations?

I'm guessing that they are brothers and couldn't agree to how to spell their name :-)

All the Rocin' Dopsie, Dupsee and such are the same man. Just that American producers have always had big problems with the French (and I feel any in fact) language and couldn't spell correctly his name. Remember that Thibault (a current french surname) Walker became..T-Bone Walker because nobody couldn't say it properly!

OK, thanks, all the same man. I've got this artist scattered through my master lists under various spellings, so I'll consolidate them under one name.

You guys are aware that the band continues to this day under the leadership of Rockin Doopsie Jr. right? He also plays button accordion and sings - a dynamic frontman even if he isn't particularly original.

Gerald is right that all the spelling variations are still the same man - unless there is a Jr. designation. I believe it is David who now bears the "Rockin Doopsie" name brother Alton is his drummer - younger brother Dwayne also plays accordion and has his own band.
